John Hurst (11-24-1923 5-15-2007)was a pistol shooter who competed in free pistol at the 1960 Olympics. After graduating from Manual Arts High School in Los Angeles, Hurst became a career police officer at LAPD. In 1959 he was the US Police Pistol Champion. Hurst was a contemporary of Fuzzy Farrant and Guy Hogue.
