S&W 4″ 22-32 Heavy Frame Target 22 LR. I bought this one assuming it had been modified since they did not offer this model with a 4″ barrel. The diamond SN prefix and a 1946 repair date showed it had been back to the factory. The factory letter confirmed it was shipped with a 6″ barrel on 11-4-1926. A few years after I purchased it I joined the S&W Collectors association. I requested any information from the SWHF and was provided a letter from the owner dated 7-26-1946 and S&W response letter dated 7-29-1946. I wish they still re-blued for $5.63!
